The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) purchased approximately 50,000 acres of land within the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) used for sugar cane production and a sugar mill from Talisman. Portions of the property were traded to area agricultural interests for properties contiguous to the Everglades restoration area. TASK reviewed the Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) performed by others, and conducted independent ESAs for properties to be acquired through trade by our agricultural client. We also remediated environmentally impared areas on the properties owned by our client to be traded for Talisman land, and tracked the progress of environmental remediation projects on multiple parcels purchased by SFWMD and traded to our client.
